In an era where organizations are racing towards digital transformation, they are exposed to a world of opportunities and threats. The key to navigating this landscape successfully lies in the harmonious blend of cybersecurity and sound organizational management. As students, you have the power to steer this vital transformation through research. For this thesis we see you taking the reins, following your passion within your chosen area of research. We would prefer to see projects revolving around these fields of study.


Possible fields of study:

  • Compliance Frameworks: Dive into the world of regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS-2) and analyze their implications on cybersecurity.
  • Cybersecurity Best Practices: Explore the latest cybersecurity practices, technologies, and strategies for safeguarding organizations.
  • Risk Assessment: Develop methodologies for assessing cyber risks and ensuring compliance with industry-specific standards.
  • Incident Response Planning: Investigate plans of effective incident response strategies to minimize damage by a cyberattack.

Syfte

The aim of this thesis project is to delve into the area of cybersecurity and compliance to look to the future of this subject. By exploring effective strategies, practices, frameworks, or standards, we aim to contribute practical insights that enhance customers cybersecurity defense and knowledge. We also hope to facilitate relationships between Knightec and students through a close collaboration that can prove to be mutually beneficial in the future.
